Description

Issue: The Coast Guard at Base Seattle is currently contracting out the design and construction of a major sediment contamination removal action in our slip shown below. In order to accomplish this action and meet CERCLA requirements we have an alternate location for the Bases small boats to berth during periods of dredging. This sediment removal and reconstruction of the pier will take 2-3 years to complete, starting at the beginning of 2024 and going through 2026.



In order to continue meeting the Coast Guard’s search and rescue missions, Station Seattle needs to be moved out of the Coast Guard’s slip. We are inquiring on the ability to meet our timeline for the following surface and shore requirements.



This is a formal request for an offer to meet the CG needs.
