Public notice is hereby given that bids will be received for the City of Richland’s HAINS AVE & GOETHALS DR STORMWATER QUALITY RETROFIT project by the City of Richland Purchasing Division until the date and time specified above, at which time bids will be opened and read publicly. The project consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, tools and equipment necessary to perform the work required. This project includes installing underground stormwater infiltration trenches with flow splitters and installing a below-ground pretreatment device. Engineer's estimate: $698,000 The City of Richland in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 200d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. It is anticipated that this project will be funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of it departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to any contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids.
