CONSULTANT SERVICES
PROJECT: SDOT 22-038 STRUCTURAL SERVICES ON-CALL

The City of Seattle, through Seattle Department of Transportation, requests Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms for SDOT 22-038 Structural Services On-Call.

T he City of Seattle, through its Department of Transportation, SDOT, requests Statements of Qualifications with the goal of retaining up to three consultant teams who can be available on an on-call basis to provide as-needed structural engineering services for SDOT. No specific projects have been identified. Rather, individual scopes of work will be determined by the city based on planning, priority and budget and negotiated with the consultant as funding becomes available. Those individual scopes of work are issued in a Work Assignment against the on-call contract. Each Work Assignment will clearly outline the Consultant’s services, fee and schedule for completion negotiated with the assigned City project manager. In general, the services will include supporting SDOT with its bridge programs with respect to replacement, rehabilitation, preservation, protection, and construction. These programs are in place to upkeep and maintain the large and diverse SDOT bridge portfolio, with public safety and traffic accessibility as priorities. SDOT is responsible for the inspection and maintenance of approximately 124 bridges, 79 of them are National Bridge Inventory (NBI) reportable bridges. The City anticipates possibly awarding up to three contracts for an initial contract amount of $1,000,000 each and duration of 3 years. The initial contract value and duration may be increased in varying contract dollar amounts and extended to no more than a total term of 5-years. The services will be performed in a series of Work Authorizations. The scope, schedule, and budget for these Work Authorizations will vary. There is no minimum guarantee of work under this solicitation.
