Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Contracting Department intends to procure crane rail survey services for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF). The runway rails for cranes 103153 and 103154 (building 431), and cranes 108928 and 108929 (building 978) are in need of rail surveys to determine if they comply with the requirement of Crane Manufacturers’ Association of America Inc. (CMAA) No. 70, Table 1.4.2-1, Crane Rail Tolerances. These cranes are intended to be replaced with new heavier cranes, and will therefore need the rails to be rated for higher capacities. This procurement will be solicited as a 100% Small Business set-aside utilizing FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures. It is anticipated that a commercial, Firm Fixed-price Service Contract will be awarded.
