Description

Description:

This Special Notice by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is being released on behalf of Program Executive Office (PEO) Unmanned and Small Combatants, U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Boats and Craft Program Office (PMS300) to notify small boat industrial maintenance and repair organizations that currently support U.S. Navy boat custodians and small boat engine and electronic Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintainers that have equipment on U.S. Navy boats of the annual U.S. Navy Boat and Combatant Craft Summit scheduled for 16-18 April 2024 at the Bangor Plaza Conference Center on Naval Base Kitsap, WA.

The U.S. Navy Boat and Combatant Craft Summit is a community of practice event hosted annually by the Program Office (PMS300G) Life Cycle Manager at one of the U.S. Navy’s fleet concentration areas. The forum is geared towards the sustainment of U.S. Navy boats and combatant craft up to 85 feet in length currently in service. The intent of the Summit is to bring together U.S. Navy boat and combatant craft custodians, maintainers, technical stakeholders as well as industry small boat maintenance and repair organizations to include OEM maintainers in continuing dialogue related to the latest boat and combatant craft policy and sustainment initiatives, lessons learned, best practices, challenges, and opportunities. The Summit also serves as a direct connection to the acquisition Program Office (PMS300G), NAVSEA 05D boat and craft Technical Warrant Holder, and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWC CD) Combatant Craft Division (CCD), Planning Yard (PY) and In- Service Systems Engineering (ISSE) representatives.

This year’s Summit will be a military and government only forum on 16 April and will be open to industry repair organizations and OEMs that currently support U.S. Navy boat and combatant craft custodians on 17 and 18 April. On 18 April, industry participants that support maintenance of or have equipment installed on U.S. Navy boats will have the opportunity to individually engage with Navy boat custodians. To do so, industry representatives will be required to submit presentation content in advance. The Summit is not a sales and marketing event therefore content should be focused on current support and on-board equipment that addresses but not limited to customer service improvement, enhancing materiel readiness, obsolescence, innovative sustainment practices, mitigation of manufacturing and design issues, logistics and supply chain improvement as well as future capabilities.
