Description

AMENDMENT 0001 18 January 2024 - Line Item 0001 has been corrected to remove the Fire Ring. The ADA compliant cooking grate and hinges are the only items requested. The fire ring is not required. See updated Salient Characterisitcs. Amendment SF-30, current fire ring specs and amended solicitaion with salient characteristics are attached.



(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

(ii) This solicitation is issued as an Request for Quotation (RFQ)

(iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-05.

(iv) This procurement is set aside for Small Business Concerns. The NAICS code is 332999 and the Small Business Size Standard is 750.



DESCRIPTION



The Cowlitz Ranger District located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest has a requirement to purchase 200 ADA-Compliant Fire Ring GRATES. Name Brand or Equal Specification are in the Solicitation.



SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS



The ADA compliant cooking grate requested must fit the the current Fire Ring in place. The current fire ring is a Pilot Rock Model FS-30/18/PA. The ring is constructed from 3/16" thick steel with a formed (NOT WELDED) 1" flanged lip at the top of the ring to provide strength to the ring and eliminate the vertical edge. The Side Height is 16-7/8" High with a 32" overall diameter.





The vendor must provide a ready made ADA compliant product equal to the specifications of the ADA cooking grate on the Pilot Rock Model FS/30/18/PA (Grate FS-30 18-3/8x36).





Cooking Grate shall have the following characteristics:

• Grate must be single level, 290 sq. in. Constructed from 5/8" dia. A-36 steel bars around the perimeter, 3/4" dia. A-36 steel bar for the handle. 1/2" diameter A-36 steel bar for the grate bars.

• Grate must be able to be permanently attached to and hinge upon two tightly formed eyelets made from from 5/8" Diameter A-36 steel bar that will make the grate a mechanically secure theft proof attachment.

• Grate must be operable with 1 hand, able to swing outside of the fire ring when not in use and require less than 5 lbs. of pressure to move.

• The grate should have two spring grips suitable for public use and made from 1/8"x1/2" flat bar (NOT wire rings) The grate and fire ring unit combined will allow reasonably easy access to the coking grate from a wheelchair.

• All grate bars must be Welded on both sides.

• Finished with high temp non-toxic black enamel paint



DELIVERY LOCATION, AND NEED BY DATE



1. Delivery FOB Destination before 01 April 2024 Monday through Friday, between 7:00a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

PACKAGING



Material shall be packed for shipment in such a manner that will ensure acceptance

by common carriers and safe delivery at the destination. Containers and closures shall comply with the Interstate Commerce Commission and Regulations, Uniform Freight Classification Rules, or Regulations of other carriers as applicable to the mode of transportation.
