THIS SOLICITATION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES
This is a solicitation to replace the spillway safety barrier, at Lake Washington Ship Canal ( LWSC). The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government.
The objective of the Spillway Safety Barrier Project is to obtain an industry standard engineered, designed, tested, and manufactured spillway safety barrier to be installed in an exceptionally high recreational and commercial maritime traffic area at Ballard Locks. The Locks is located within 80 feet of open spill gates and an increasing frequency of paddleboarders, kayakers, and jet-ski operators place this location at a high risk of accidents from injury or death. This boat barrier will reduce risk and provide a last resort stopping point for boats and boaters to prevent them from passing through the spillway at the US Army Corps of Engineers Ballard Locks at LWCS. Contractor will provide engineering, materials, labor, accessories, and hardware, to deliver and installed in its entirety a fully functioning end product.
Please refer to the attached solicitation documentation for complete details.
