Public notice is hereby given that bids will be received for the City of Richland’s RICHLAND LIBRARY STEAM SPACE IMPROVEMENTS Project by the City of Richland Purchasing Division until the date and time specified above, at which time bids will be opened and read publicly. This project includes but is not limited to the renovations of approximately 2,127 SF of an area inside the Richland Public Library referred to as the STEAM Space as well as some updates to an outdoor landing area outside of the STEAM space. Interior renovations include concrete polishing, new floor box electrical outlets, painting, casework, a new range hood above the oven, and necessary demolition. Exterior renovations include some new concrete flatwork, light veneer work for new seating benches composed from existing veneer wall, and necessary demolition. This project also recognizes an Alternate 1 that includes new mechanical components in the STEAM space as identified in the plans. This project is estimated at $190,000 to $240,000. The City of Richland in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 200d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. Small, Minority and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bid.
