NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by Whatcom County Administrative Services Finance/Purchasing at their office on the fifth floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Suite 503, Bellingham WA 98225 for purchase and installation of the following:
Swift Creek Action Plan 2024 Construction
UNTIL: 2:30 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2024
At which time and place the bids will be publicly opened (live/virtual via Zoom), and read aloud. All bidders and any other interested persons are invited to be present at the live bid opening via Zoom. Late submittals will not be considered.
Whatcom County Public Works is seeking bids for the Swift Creek Action Plan 2024 Construction project, Work Order No. 23894. This project provides for the improvement of Swift Creek site access, construction of haul roads, creation and enhancement of wetlands, culvert installation, activities related to the management of Swift Creek Sediment, excavation and placement of material from existing sediment traps, and all incidentals to complete the work as further described in the bid documents.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the southwest corner of Goodwin Road Bridge over Swift Creek (7400 Block of Goodwin Rd, Everson, WA).
Award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder. Whatcom County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities.
Whatcom County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
