Washington DNR is soliciting proposals from firms to assess the potential opportunity area for reforestation and afforestation across the state, evaluate barriers to achieving reforestation, and propose solutions. The evaluation should incorporate consideration of ecological & societal barriers and opportunities, including, expanding seed collection, increasing the capacity of the state's public nursery, expansion of private forest nurseries in the region, and addressing workforce needs.
