The City of Sequim is putting out a Call for Bids on a contract for construction of the N Sequim Ave. Sidewalk and Bike Lanes project, consisting of widening and rehabilitation of N Sequim Avenue from south of W Deytona St to the roundabout, a retrofit of the existing roundabout, installation of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, curb ramps, driveways HMA pavement, permanent signing, RRFB’s, pavement markings, landscaping, fire hydrants, catch basins, underground and overhead utilities, and other associated work as further shown, described, and indicated in the Contract Documents. The Engineer’s Estimate range is $2,500,000 to $2,900,000. The work locations include but are not limited to: N Sequim Ave., W Deytona St, Port Williams Rd., Old Olympic Highway, and Sequim Dungeness Way.

All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions, Contract Plans and Standard Specifications for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, 152 W Cedar St, Sequim, WA 98382. Bidders may obtain a copy of the Contract Provisions, Plans and Bid Proposal Form, free of charge, in electronic format (PDF via email) along with registration as a plan-holder through the City of Sequim Public Works Office. Bid Proposals are to be submitted only on the Proposal Form provided to registered plan-holders. All Bid Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, money order, or bid bond payable to the “City of Sequim” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The City of Sequim expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interests of the City.
