Dryden Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements
Improvements to the Dryden WWTF include replacing the existing septic and drainfield system with a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) with Subsurface Discharge. Major components include:
1. Headworks providing metering, sampling, grit removal, screening, equalization and pumping of influent to the SBR system. The existing 4-inch Palmer Bowlus flume will be retained;
2. SBR system with equipment allowing for influent feeding, mixing, aeration, solids wasting and effluent decanting;
3. Solids handling system with gravity thickening and storage of sludge for offsite disposal;
4. Mechanical building including support systems for the SBRs, effluent metering, disinfection and sampling equipment, a plant water system, and the associated electrical and control equipment;
5. Administration building including a small office and simple laboratory, bathroom and storage areas;
